Her acclaimed debut feature documentary Miss Gulag (2007), funded by the Ford Foundation and the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund, premiered at the Berlinale 57, screened at over 36 international festivals and TV networks, and was purchased by the Cambridge University Department of Slavonic Studies.
She affirms the promise of a brave investigator of women’s issues with her latest feature documentary Anything You Lose. This play-by-play reproductive trauma surveillance of infertility received audience acclaim at the Fertility Fest London 2019 UK Premiere.
Irina is a graduate of Russian National Film School (VGIK), and Columbia College Chicago Film Department. She is a recipient of The Peabody Award, a Daytime Emmy Award nominee, and is a contributor with ABC News TV Network.
